Why acoustical ceilings works the way it does in Philadelphia
About Philadelphia, PA. Philadelphia is Pennsylvania's largest city and the sixth-largest in the U.S., anchored by a deep university and medical economy (Penn, Drexel, Temple), Comcast's corporate headquarters, and a port-and-logistics base along the Delaware. The metro spans Center City through West Philly, the Northeast, and the suburban ring through the Main Line.
What it means for acoustical ceilings. City of Philadelphia and Philadelphia County operate a consolidated government. The Historical Commission governs exterior changes in historic districts under rigorous preservation rules. Older building stock drives heavy renovation, building envelope, and adaptive reuse activity. King's natural scope here is healthcare facility expansion, hospitality renovation, multifamily, and commercial upfit.

What Affects the Price
Every job is different. Here's what we look at when we put together your estimate — so there are no surprises on job day.
Total ceiling square footage and number of distinct ceiling planes
Tile selection — standard ACT, high-NRC, designer, wood, metal, fabric
Grid system — standard, slim-tee, exposed, fineline, concealed
Penetrations — number of lights, diffusers, sprinklers, speakers, security
Seismic clip and lateral bracing requirements where applicable
Specialty design — clouds, baffles, multi-level, integrated lighting
We don't quote over the phone. Every estimate is done on-site because that's the only way to give you a number you can count on. No ballparks, no surprises.
Our Process
How We Approach
Acoustical Ceilings
Layout & Grid Plan
Lighting, HVAC diffusers, sprinkler heads, and any other ceiling penetrations laid out against the grid before steel is hung. Pre-coordination keeps the install clean.

Hang Grid, Cut Tile, Install Penetrations
Grid hung level and square. Tile cut for diffusers, lights, speakers, and sprinklers. Specialty ceiling materials (wood, metal, fabric) installed per manufacturer spec.

Detail, Trim & Final Inspection
Edge trim, transitions to other ceiling types, perimeter detail, and final cleaning. Inspected against drawings before owner hand-off.
